Bro lets be honest MLK is the only black leader history can rewrite. Outside of the mistresses dude is pretty clean with his non violence image. Look at how the Black Panthers are remembered in todays society people remember more violence than their survival programs. Its over once Slavery gets out of the textbooks tho.

This is what scares me. I wonder how old OP is, but no matter his age, he seems to come from the POC like the Civil Rights movement was a long time ago. Dawg, that was less than 70 years ago! Some young people think that we live in a post-racial society when nothing could be further from the truth. Just because people of different races get along, doesn't mean the problem is solved. There is more work to do. We get hit over the head with MLK and Malcolm X and Rosa Parks as if no other significant events and figures existed in civil rights. It's a shame that OP is taking her protest for granted.
