Hello all,

So for the first time in 13 months I'll be the starting pitcher for my college baseball team. I tore my rotator cuff in spring training last year and I obviously wasn't able to play all season. The rehab and everything that goes along with it was so tough and I'm just not that tough, actually I'm a little bit of a coward. Unfortunately maybe even a lot of a coward (once someone charged the mound in high school and I ran into the outfield). So this year as I toe the rubber for the first time this year I am nervous as hell. Any words of advice?

Signed Sincerely,

Leolookalike

first off, good luck out there

You know how hard you worked to get to this point so hopefully you feel prepared enough to kick ***

Thanks dude, its hard considering how much of a wuss I really am.. I mean my 8 year old sister beats me down on the regular. Obv not physically but mentally she kinda own a piece of real estate in my head!

so how is your rotator cuff now after surgery and rehab? do you have 100% mobility in your shoulder and no pain at all? i tore mine in June and it does feel a lot better and there is slight pain but more discomfort than anything not too bad... but i dont have full range in my shoulder if i move it a certain position it does hurt... i didnt do surgery or rehab but im thinking maybe i should do some type of rehab

Best of luck out there homie

When you're on the mound dont think about the injury or thinking if itll happen again just go out there and do what got you to this position in the first place.

What division/school if you dont mind me asking.

stay confident and keep your head high even if you get rocked man

Wow...good luck dude. That's awesome you're getting a chance to bounce back! Throw that slider cuz!

Flashback to 2000, tore my rotator cuff senior year in high school, was going to play baseball for American University. Had surgery, did rehab. Arm strength was gone. Lost my scholarship. DEVASTATED ain't the word. :-(

Being mentally weak is a trait every coach wishes for in his pitchers.

got MRIs coming up for both shoulders this weekend
