I know a lot of cats really started messing with Cam when he got on his computers puting, pink mink flow but as an Uptown 90's _, this is the apex of Cam's career and late 90's NYC Hip-Hop as a whole to me.

The rhyme schemes, production, track concepts, energy and even the artwork and promotion of this album are incredible. This record perfectly encapsulates the era and IDGAF attitude that hungry hood dudes Uptown walked around with.

Jay is in my top 5 but the more I listen to dude's older work, the more I realize that a lot of his albums are overrated just off of his consistency and status.

S.D.E. feels as fresh and energetic as it did in 99 (when it first leaked).

Cam did work on this album and it's not really appreciated like it should e cause he doesn't take himself seriously and just keeps it moving to the next thing.

    From the epic opening track...

    To the gully closing song.....

    This album is a classic.

    Pay homage.

The Blueprint was better than the Black Album.

Purple Haze to me is cam's best body of work, and a classic album. S.D.E is a little more raw, but as homie said its deffinatley appreciated. i hold cam to a higher level then jay, of course dipset is what intorduced me to hip hop. But Jay, has so many bangers, American Gangster > Blueprint >S.D.E

Jay... " You made it a hot ad-lib, I made it a hot song..."

    The BIG sample....so cotdam powerful.

Flawless storytelling and Killa give dudes a lesson in How to Rap 101:

Like I said, this track and the whole album pretty much sums up the life of many teens/20 somethings in the inner city.

S.D.E isn't even a top 3 Cam album to me, but to each his own

 at S.D.E being better then Vol. 1, The Dynasty, and The Blueprint.

jay-z's discography has DEFINITELY aged terribly. i think by da time we're all 50+ history will revise how overrated they are and knock him off his pedestal.

with that said, "i need a freak" is probably da worst cam'ron song ever made, and its on S.D.E. :x

that and Violence should've been deleted, because it isn't Vol. 2 is seeing this album, as well as da blueprint.

Damn man yall some haters or got bad taste in rap music.

I got most of each rapper's albums and SDE is not better than the majority of Jay's albums  You can say Jay's albums aged bad or weren't the highest of quality but SDE is not the album you want to pit against them. It's defintiely not better than Vol. 2, 3 or the Dynasty albums.

I mess with both of those songs.

I need a freak is hilarious to me.

" I'm the one that hit it from the back, dookie pie *dookie love*....what's that there?...Your coochie..."Hi" "

" Girls like sex more than guys. Pop the question...they get silly. You got your period?..."Mhmm not really." "What's that mean?" to be polite. " It's the last day and it real light." Yeah right.....you leak leaky. Call me next week I'm not that freaky."

Violence got that heavy metal, mosh pit feel to it. Gets me hype.

Vol. 2 has a lot of quality songs but its boring to me now. Can only listen to it a couple times a year. Blueprint is probably better though.

SDE is def better than Vol. 1, 3, BP2, AG, KC and BP3 IMO.
