Saigon Quits Rap

He's like a child who doesn't get their way, except for he's doing it because his album WILL NEVER COME OUT.Unless he gets shot.

i think sai is a lil off his rocker sometimes... i listened to him on shade 45 one night and dude seems outta his mind. but then again, they say the craziestdudes are the ones with the most talent

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Saigon is quitting the game. Here's the statement he released exclusively to HipHopGame.

"#+#$ this wack-****+!+!$%@%, this fake-***…The game is wack. It's not owned by us. It's not controlled by us. All we are are *$+%*#$ pawns in a chess game and I don't want to be a pawn no more, so I'm jumping off the chessboard. Take me out the game.

"I think I should be putting more time into my nonprofit organization In Arms Reach and Abandoned Nation. We help the kids of New York City whose parents are incarcerated. Everybody who wanted to support me in this rap !#%* can support me by going to InArmsReach.org. You don't have to only send money. You can send books or anything the kids can use. Anything that can help a kid in need, send that. Support me like that."

Saigon also addressed Joe Budden's recent freestyle on Rap City, where he said, "With the chicks I hit and run like Saigon."

"Joe Budden never in his life would have gone to a show of somebody he has beef with, got onstage and performed. Being that he feels so comfortable putting my name as one of the butts of his jokes, I hope feels as comfortable in that hospital gown because I'm going upside his head.

"It's not just this Joe Budden !#%*. I can't even wake up and fart without seeing this !#%* on the internet and I'm not even famous. Imagine if I was famous. I would go crazy. This !#%* would drive me *$+%*#$ nuts. Everybody feels like they got a right to criticize you. I'm not one of these people. I take it personally and I can't deal with it. If me being a rapper is inviting everybody to throw stones and take shots at me, then I don't want to be a rapper because I'm going to be the one who ends up suffering. I'm going to do something to one of these people and it's going to cost me my life and my freedom.

"This is it. The Greatest Story Never Told...I guess you could say it was prophecy."

Vain not vein!!!

I think Saigon is a very talented rapper but give me a break! That was one of the dumbest blog posts I've ever read inmy life. Regardless of how fake he thinks the music industry is (which I don't disagree with him at all), he goes on to say that he's gonna slap Nellyif he sees him because he (Nelly) thinks that it's unfair that people judge him on his music alone and not the various charities that he is involved inoutside of music. If Saigon wasn't a rapper, he would never be on the radio to express his opinion for starters, so regardless of how long a interview was,if you say something along the lines of slapping a rapper that has never done anything to you, then that's what the media is going to exploit. Just likeNelly swiping a credit card down the crack of a females rear end, Saigon's outburst on Nelly, Melyssa Ford and then proceeding to cursing the radio hostsout are going to be exploited over whatever new songs or conscious songs that you have out. That's the media's job to exploit the most interestingpoints of an interview! It's unfortunate, as well as the state of Hip-Hop and its audience, but at the end of the day it is what it is. In general, nomatter if you do a million things right, the one screwup you have is going to be exploited over the things you do that, and if he can't respect that thenmaybe he needs to quit, but it seems like he contradicted himself hard and took a major L at the radio station. He will be missed though. Oh, and not saying heain't a real street ninja, but real street ninjas don't need to ask if they need to post their rap sheet on the internet to prove a point. I shall nowproceed to listen to Come On Baby Remix and the Letter P.

I agree with everything you said right there. Great points

I don't feel like reading that crap. I stopped after "Ive realized now that sooo many people have gotten into Hip Hop, whether the business aspect or otherwise, its not really for me anymore..."

Look people, if you do something for yourself and for the sake of the task itself (in this case, creating music is the task), then how the hell can somebody else's interest in it (or lack thereof) affect you? It can't. It's only an industry to the consumers and the suits. But to the artists and the fans (and occasionally the Venn diagram overlaps here...), it's just music man. Remember, the music was here before the business, and I mean that philosophically. Long after the American dollar is mere toilet paper, people will still sing and dance. So either you're one of those people at heart, or you aren't. It's too many entrepreneurs pretending to be artists. Art IS NOT a cash cow people, it never has been. A few will "make it", most will die poor and forgotten. And that's cool with me, as far as my art goes..... that's why I'm a nursing major. Making art is a trade, but it ain't a job

. BET got __s thinking art is easy money but for every wack rapper on a Top 10 or 25 or whatever, there are 10,000 artists out there that would love to put something worthwhile in that 2 minute spot (since they clip all the videos now...)

Question, why do people tune into these shows that are supposedly about hip-hop, when they only show a fraction of the actual hip-hop video, as if to say they don't even respect the product they're selling you?

So in closing, real artistry is not about the money, nor will I ever be. Art is eternal. That's the only reason I make my art. I want to live on forever in some body's Ipod. And as far as I'm concerned, if you can let another man's direction in his career stray you from yours, you were never really an artist in the first place...

The prosecution rests Your Honor...

Son , What in world are you talking about ???. This is precisely what Sai was saying in his interview . Dudes wanna spill nonsense around that has nothing to do with anything , just to get a point across .

Agree 100% with Saigon .

Half of all these lame rap blogs, media outlets, and internet personalities are just a bunch of no knwledge clowns hiding behind screenames and publications . That ain`t Hip Hop . %$@# all you nerds .
