Anyone ever pray to her?

I see decals, candles, tattoos, jewlery all te time. A lot of times looks like ppl just have it or carry it just to do it tho.


Ive heard she can bring love wealth careers protection revenge all kinds of stuff.


I think its crazy how much ppl worship/belive in her.

I reallydont know to much about her but im intrested in all that.


I was working at someones house one time and opened up the closet to get to the attic and the whole thing was dedicated to her. Apples tequila candles pictures all kinds of stuff around this big statue. The house was nice, driveway with nice cars and all that and the ppl didnt look like some drug dealers or anythin but i have heard that not just drig dealers pray to her.

What yall think about all that?

jesus malverde and santa muerte are the ones usually embraced by narcos and human smugglers to protect their cargo and to ensure a safe trip.

I made this thread becUse i was ridin with a dude recently and he had a lil statue on his dashboard but i didnt wanna ask about it. And also because of the closet i saw like i mentioned on my first post.


Atheist or not im sure ppl have some sort of knowledge in other religions/beliefs.



Not that i wanna worship santa muerte, i more intrested in what ppl think. But i cant just ask someone with a tattoo or decal about it.

Your right about that i cant argue, BUT, its not just mexicans that pray to all those saints. Its catholosism period that has people thinkin that.

Ive come across people that live by that on a daily, and it seems like they dont have any worrys. But is it all hype that makes em feel that way or believe it? Or is it actually true? Lotta people been caught up even tho they pray to her. But then tOns of people havent. So basically all im trying to get is some insight on what people think about it/or storys people have or storys people have heard. Its just crazy to me that people belive in her and jesus malverde. I mean the same can apply to people who say the same about god and what not.

But its very intresting to me how people go about praying to santa muerte as far as what they put around the statue and how they think that helps

I am too familiar with this stuff. Some friends of my uncle had the small ones in their house, sorta like buddah decorations. I asked my grandmother, whose a devout catholic, about the saint and she told me she prayed to her sometimes, same with some of my uncles living on ranches and stuff like that, nothing too serious though. It was mostly about narcos praying to her and malverde. I remember seeing some of my cousins with some malverde neckleces trying to be edgy, so that's how I got to know about that guy. It's like that columbian 'saint' columbians preach to too, not my cup of tea.I am very fascinated with my peoples culture and our enamouration(is this even a word?) with the dead. Very surreal stuff.

FYI; if we're speaking of Santa Muerete only, it's a mexican originated saint, so I don't know who else would pray to it. Well, maybe now, it's probably more widespread, but still, you get the point. I agree with you, the paradox of it atleast. How people place money, alcohol, cigs, sometiems drugs, etc, things that are generally associated with immoral behaviour as an offering for a good dead

That's what I love about non-traditional, pagan flavored, Christian polytheistic beliefs. If one Saint or diety doesn't work, fire him/her pray to another.

It doesnt suprise me that dudes catholic geandmother had prayed to santa muerte. A lot Of catholic people are backwards like that. They think its ok to drink all the time because they "went to church sunday" so its all good.
