So reading up on that one thread bout the kid choosing famu over ivy-league schools, it reminded me psat's are comin up for me.
Has anyone got a good score (~1850+) and if you have, can you give some tips or recommended any prep books?

Much appreciated NT

I scored over 1900 on my psat and scored 1830 the first time i took the actual sat. Definitely not what i wanted so im taking it again in november to get that 2000+.

I didnt study or take any prep for my psat or the first sat but i plan on doing some prepping in between now and my second to push my score over 2000.

Everybody in my school seems to be using this book http://about.pricegrabber...bout_businessmajors& . i think i'll try picking this up, everyone says its good.

do go to a local univeristy and scoop up a sat practice test they are free they are practically the same test as the sat

Just get a test prep work to get an idea of your weaknesses. Doesn't hurt to expand your lexicon either.

Edit: woops, meant workbook.

Good luck. Also consider the ACTs. It's worth a shot.

Thanks guys, headin to barnes and nobles tomorrow for the college board official prep book
