To start off...I didn't get scammed, but a fellow NTer (close friend) did.
He can't log into his old account, but for those who've seen him around (JrichforMVP), you know he's good people.

He sold a pair of taxi 12 lows for $100 a couple of months ago, and he was recently hit with the a chargeback.
Didn't hear anything from the guy for over two months, so he threw away the shipping details (confirmation and all). So, my friend actually did have the tracking # that he print-screened from sneakertalk, updated it to paypal...And the dispute still going on.

For those who can contribute more than, "take the L", he'd appreciate it...
Lesson has been learned, but if he can't benefit from anything, hopefully this lets others know not to buy/sell from/to this address.

Don't mind him, just another worthless poster. Did he make an agreement in buy/sell? Should've done that and added the shipping conformation in there. I really can't think of anything for him to do other than contact paypal and find out the reason for the chargeback.

He contacted paypal already. They pretty much told him that it was in the buyer's favor after not having the shipping label present.

paypal should send an email out as soon as the buyer files a chargeback. your friend is gonna have to take the L since the proof of delivery is the most important info

Precisely, shouldnt it be a red flag for someone to file a dispute 2 months later when shipping shoes should take 2 weeks tops?

If he got a chargeback he might as well take the L. Some POS hit me with one and I had screenshots from emails of him THANKING me for the merchandise and then later saying that the chargeback was a mistake (yet he wouldn't cancel it) and paypal still sided with him

Without proof of shipping, he could say he waited a long time and gave the seller chances but never received them. Still wrong though.

Seems like your friend either accepted a gift payment, shipped to an unconfirmed address, or both.

paypal has nothing to do with a chargback, he filed a chargeback with his CC company.

dudes are grimey these days, thats why im hesitant to deal with anyone
