I was upset when I read on imdb.com that there actually was tension on the set between the "Jiggaboos" and the "Wannabes" because Spike supposedly give them different travel/hotel accommodations to highlight their differences (i.e. light skinned actors with "good" hair got nice hotels, while the darker-skinned cast members got motels during filming). I hope it's just a bunch of made up stuff seeing how it's on imdb.

I love this movie so much though. Because of the Dap character, I've had the biggest crush on Laurence Fishburne. And Giancarlo Esposito (sp?).

Also love how this movie has so many actors who would appear on A Different World: Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Tisha Campbell, Darryl Bell, Dominic Hoffman, etc.

its true they talk about it during the director's and cast commentary that came with the special edition dvd/soundtrack set
it was all on purpose, i thought it was kinda cool that he did that

Nah it was the ques.  My cousin (who watches this movie religously) is an omega.  The scene when spike and larry are fighting at the end  when he does that sarcastic arsenio dog pump had me dying everytime.  I need that scene for an avy.
