Looks like widows peaks. Id have to get mine out of storage to compare but im not in town

Yeah, I remember the The cut on the patent leather on the most recent space jams had similar “widows peak” type cuts. And those were purchased directly from Nike so I’m hoping this is just a QC thing.

hard to judge based on the shape since they’re so beat up.

Same reason mentioned above. The widow peaks from the tooling used by the rep companies. I have 2 pairs and both are smooth around the same areas.
