Welp time to blow it up! I knew Lockett was most likely getting released and if DK gets moved then yea I guess they give Geno a final season and look to draft a QB next season.

Geno is a Carroll guy and isn't the right guy for what is looking like a total rebuild. McDonald is just clearing cap space now (Raiders took all of Geno's cap hit).

Dk to Pitt. Welp they look to be in full rebuild now. I don't mind Darnold on a 1 year rental but not expecting much next season.

Honestly, just let Sam Howell go out there. Don't even waste the money on Darnold if it won't elevate the team much.
I have a suspicion that Pete wanted to move up and CJ Stroud a couple of years ago, but Schneider wasn't feeling it. I feel like the fate of the franchise would've been a lot better than what it is now. Let's see how patient Jodie can be with Schneider and MM.

Not a bad deal for Darnold I'd say. They might be treating this as a prove it deal and then draft a QB next season if they are trash this year. Really need to build the O line or Darnold gonna be getting sacked constantly this coming season.
