Lamar isnt even tolerable...its like nails on a chalkboard.

Indeed. His voice & inflection are too much for me.

the best thing j cole ever did was produce hiii power... his stuff is barely music... he just makes basic rap songs... u cant get somethin like the spiteful chant or adhd from j cole

This _ stay in every J. Cole thread sayin' the same #**$ dumb *+#% over and over.  We get it, you don't F with Cole but kill the campaign you're on.  It's like you rub yourself at night every time Cole get his date pushed back.

You're like a genital wart, son.

I can see why people say that for both JCole & KL. I can't listen to a bunch of J.Cole songs at one time cause he always sounds like
he's yelling, and his flow/delivery just doesn't vary much, and has pretty good content, and somehow appeals both to the club crowd
and "real hip hop heads". Section80 is the only thing I've heard from KL, and it's like a 7.5/10, with the latter part of the album being
a lot better than the first. His flow/delivery is definitely more tolerable than J.Cole's over long periods, and he really just seems to say
more notable stuff than J.Cole. I'll tell you one thing though, I would seek out both of their stuff 1 million times faster than Big Sean's stuff.

 that's a major reach

I'm curious. I haven't really listened to J Cole, but I sincerely doubt he has the same storytelling ability that Kendrick possesses. I'm talking songs like "Don't Understand" and "Average Joes" and especially "Keisha's Song." Has J Cole put out anything of the same caliber as "Keisha's Song"? The story progression as well as the cautionary nature of the song is impressive.

I had the same train of thought as a fan of him since never liked the RocNation signing but I think his album will drop this year. Might/Probably get pushed back again but I think it'll drop just cuz Jigga may be lucid enough to realize the state of album sales, especially for new rappers with a buzz.

Reading this thread some ppl would say it's the opposite.

Far from sincere. Don't bother listening to him if you're gonna approach his music with this bias that doesn't even give Cole a fair chance. If you do that listen to Losing My Balance or I Get Up.

My thoughts exactly..

just curious but is it a west coast bias that some folks prefer KL over J cole and even vice versa.. I never got into Dom Kennedy he just doesn't appeal to me from the few tracks I've heard.. just my opinion.. I'm feeling section 80 though but even after 2 spins it doesn't top the warm up to me..

Who's Dom Kennedy? Matter fact, who's Stalley, and who's Donnis?

I mean we went a good lil min without getting any release date announcement at all and the only one we got this year is the actual release date 9/27/11.
I know its still time for a push back to occur but I doubt that happens. Hov was on the radio last week speaking on Cole and confirming he coming next month. Kid turned his album in the other day i believe.

So i think the "Cole aint never droppin...Cole the next papoose" talk should be deaded...the album coming.

and its not like doubters *cough TIME cough* wont have nutin to hang their hats on...im sure they gearing up for the "Cole flopped...only 70k ahaha" campaign

lol im not a doubter... i just dont think his music is good... i dont care what he sells or any of that... i want to see if his album will be any good...

yeah u right I shouldnt have called u a doubter...u just dont like the dude...and how could possibly see if his album is any good when you dont like anything he has done...that isssh wont change.

matter of fact why are u even gonna check for the album?

thiiiiiiiisssssssssssss

im not really into jcole either

J Cole raps pretty good but it seems after a couple of verses/songs he can get Boring.

He shines best on features.

Lemar can make pretty good songs/ manages to stay away from being boring
Over a couple tracks

Exactly what I was thinking!   I like Cole, but I can only listen for so long.  I can play s80 all damn day, however
