How can you guys say they can win 60-70 games, but they arent good enough to win it all?

Because you don't play championship contenders 60 - 70 times a season. They haven't proven that they can compete with a team like that ina 7 game series. If they can, thats great, but they haven't yet. So we will just have to see. Still early in the season...

For some reason, I really can't stand the Celtics. I dunno what it is, but something about them just irks me. I can't deny their greatness though,they're a really good team.
I see 'em finishing at about 67-15 (number 1 seed in the East), and losing to the Pistons (number 2 seed) in the ECF in 6 games.

Great teams are BUILT, not just thrown together. They have to gel together; not just the players, but the coaches and trainers and everyone. All the people on a particular team learn how to do what's right by failing, and then one year, all of the lessons they've learned TOGETHER come together for a historical season. That's what happened with those Bulls. They didn't just pick up Pippen and Rodman from other teams and some average coach from another team. They were built together. Some had been there longer than other, but the core was built.

Like I said, same with this year's Pats team.

Do I think the Celtics will do well this season? Yes.
Do I expect them to win it all? I'm not even 100% positive they'll win the East.

But (getting back to your post):
Do I expect them to threaten 72-10? Absolutely not.

i hope the celtics do not ever win squat with this core of players. Ray "Im scared of terrorist" Allen, Kevin " I dont want to be the man"Garnett, Paul " I wanna be a thug" Pierce, James "cheap shot" Posey, Big ******ed Baby, Eddie "the bum" House, KARAMdO, etc. notto mention they have the absolute worst commentators in the NBA and that Boston is known for being a racist city...

can anybody tell me why you would be pullng for the celtics to do big things this year?

With losses now against Charlotte and Washington, doesnt look like they will break that record now.



Im calling it that they do worse than the Mavs did last year.

Celtics havent proven anything yet...I would take Detroit over them in a 7 game series
