I want to genuinely learn from some different perspectives about what how different people view themselves in a positive light. I'll admit I've gone through my own struggles becoming an "adult" and figuring things out on my own. I'm transitioning from trying to not be the person my parents want me to be and become the person I want to be. Some times it gets overwhelming and I get stuck thinking like a perfectionist and overanalyzing everything to the point where I feel awful. I just don't know if it's ever realistic to believe that there will be a time when I have true self-worth and not constantly in pursuit of some goal.

For those of you who have experienced the 20s (30s or 40s too), what keeps you all going in life? What is most important to you in terms of moral values or being a member of society?
