play before pablo takes his AB, sanchez hits a single and scores Velez but velez kinda up-ends Martin at the plate, and i think martin was madabout it. Pablo comes up next, first pitch is tight inside and it hits him in the back elbow, i think pablo thinks it was retaliation for martin gettingup-ended and gets mad and takes a few steps to the pitcher. Martin steps in front of Pablo, benches clear, renteria gets in front of martin and argue andstuff.
I agree with bright nikes. Martin shouldn't be pissed about the previous play, but if you look at the Pablo situation by itself, I have noproblems with Martin sticking up for his pitcher.Originally Posted by bright nikes

I'll even add that you don't go pointing towards the mound while carrying your bat in your hand and expect our catcher just to sit back there.
