started with roulette, up and down with several thousand dollar swings.

moved on to baccarat, up tens of thousands of dollars one day, down the same the next. nothing to show for except vip @ harrah's and mohegan sun.

don't bring credit cards. and markers can be very very bad.

know when to stop. leave when you're up a good amount. set a goal. breaking even is winning.

I've only seriously gambled with poker. Started when I was like 14. Be going to AC and other places making some doe. Want to enter a few tournaments but I'd like prefer to be bankrolled by someone

The first time I gambled legally was in Macau. I was at the Venetian and had an hour to burn so I decided to play blackjack

I don't know if this is common at all casinos or what but it was $1000HKD (about $140) to sit at the table and the minimum buy-in was $200HKD (about $2 Right after I sat down and got my chips (all ten of them

) This British guy sat down next to me and put down $50,000HKD

Needless to say, I was completely out of my mind to be playing at that table. Went up and down for a bit but caught a bunch of bad breaks and I was done in about 15 minutes

Tahoe isn't what it used to be.

Since you just turned 21, stick to the $5 tables until you get the hang of it or they raise the minimums.

Bill's sucks now and the Horizon used to be fun/cheap especially for beginners, but I don't think they have their table game license anymore (they sold and ownership changed, they took all the table games out).

Don't use ATMs/Credit Cards at a Casino under any circumstance.

The only slot machine I mess with is Wheel of Fortune....I know, I know

Playing by the book means playing the correct way, it's not an actual book but you can find a few tips if you search online. I would recommend watching if you haven't played before. Don't sit down and piss off a table full of people hitting when you weren't suppose to. Blackjack is a game of assumptions.

ie. If dealer is showing a 6, you assume he has 16. If you have 12+, you stay. If you have 10-11, double down.
