46'' sony bravia LCD 1080p 120HZ (KDL-46V5100)

or

52'' sharp aquos LCD 1080p 120HZ (LC52D85U)

both at same $1,400 price, what would you go with, 6 inches on the table(no karamo)

Sony. But I am a sony guy. I just like the style. And if the size was a big factor to you I don't think these would be your final choices, so go with thesony.

what are the model numbers

thanx for the advice kix

no question that it's Sony.

have you actually been to Best Buy or wherever and looked at the TVs in person? bc if you did, you wouldn't be making this thread... there is no Sharp TVthat shows a better picture than a Bravia

the d85u for whatever reason didn't seem to have an "obvious" 120hz refresh rate...it's something alot of people can't tell...not worththe money.

the sony v5100 is nice...usb, 120hz, etc etc...but it seems kinda washed out.

get the sony

My dad just bought a 52" Sony Bravia with 1080p and 120htz for $1,500 I think. Don't know the model # though...

No point in getting a Bravia unless you're getting an XBR...

XBR > ___________.

Sharp is okay if it wasn't for the notorious banding issues. I'd stick to Sony or Samsung.

Actually, the V, W, and Z series are right up there with the XBRs.
