Shipping on Craigslist? Money Order?

So I have a pair of shoes for sale listed here locally on CL.  I received an email inquiring about the shoes.  Turns out the interested buyer is in another state.  He asked me if I could ship and if I took paypal.  

I don't have a paypal so I told him local cash meet ups or money order.  The guy said he is willing to send payment via money order.  Now I'm starting to have second thoughts on whether or not I should go through with this.  Am I getting set up here?  Should I go ahead and make the sale?

I think the $$$ is clouding my judgement, so what does NT think?

Just get the money order AND CASH first.

Then wait for him to ask for a refund.

Yeah man, just reading that the bank will cash money orders and wont fully verify the authenticity until they turn around and try to collect their money from the money order company.  If at this point the money order turns out to be fake, I am responsible for repayment to the bank.  Now Im assed out of my money and shoes.
