So I recently sold an item that's worth $280 on eBay. Had it shipped to Saipan. I added a signature confirmation.
Fast foward a week later, I check the USPS tracking and it says its at the sorting facility and never left my city..

Called USPS and they are investigating this and went to my local USPS and they told me there's nothing I can do since

I have no insurance.....anybody been in a similar situation like me? and how did it turn out?...

USPS lost a Zune that I shipped to Australia. I had all the paperwork and customs forms showing I shipped it, but Paypal still took my money back so I was out over $200. Since then, I refuse to ship internationally. It's not worth the hassle.

Do you always have to fill out custom forms if you ship overseas? The clerk at my local USPS never told me about this when I shipped this out.

yes, always

I ship international but rarely. Usually only phones. Brazil is super chill but Canada held something for a while.

3 of every 10 packages I ship to brazil get "lost" I have never had a problem shiping to Argentina, Chile, Mexico (no first class int. tho)

Everywhere else in the world is good to go. (Oh except Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore)

Be careful declaring a lower value and marking as gift. If you get caught its a $5,000 fine NEVER put an invoice inside the box if you do this and make sure the buyer knows EXACTLY how much you declared.

Shipping to APO/FPO is MUCH worse, a bigger hassle and takes a lot longer. They don't believe you that its supposed to take so long so they file claims and always win, then you track the package a couple of weeks later and says "delivered"

Dudes are doing the job I don't want to do so I ain emm mad at them.

I hope things turn out okay. I called Paypal and they said if the package is lost the the buyer does a claim I will be reimbursed.

I swear shipping overseas is the biggest headache of all time. This is my first and last time.
It's crazy how overseas people are willing to spend $100-$200 above market value.

You shipped the item without the customs form? Im pretty sure it will be sent back to you, but they will take their sweet time.
