So I have been thinking about this for quite some time, now I'm making a thread about it. It is funny how people can be so quick to judge others when they are caught stealing merchandise from a store, but LITERALLY almost everyone illegally pirates songs and movies and everything is ok. What do you guys have to say about this?

Shoplifting is illegal, so don't do it. You also have a greater chance of getting caught, meaning not a lot of people attempt.

I think it's based on how you would be perceived in the immediate time and place. If you get caught shoplifting, there's a sense of humility because you are physically seen and scorned by others. Whereas with illegal downloads, no one is going to be watching you commit the act except yourself (and maybe authorities who are remotely tracking you).

Yes I am a hypocrite. By the way this was way back in HS I don't do that no more I swear haha. But I never snitch when I see someone else caught in the act. If they wanna do that, more power to them. It's a big turn off when I see females doin it though.
