This morning I got a call from a number I didn't recognize and I let it go to voicemail. A very sweet sounding older woman left a very personal message. She was calling for someone named Bethea (sounded like ba-they-uh) and the message basically went like this:
Hello Bethea. Just calling to see how you're doing. I am spending the holidays at home this year.... no travelling, no big plans, but all is well. Please give me a call when you get this message, honey. But if not I want to wish you a happy holidays.
In the name of Jesus. Amen.
I have to admit I've never heard someone end a call like that lol. It sounded like something out of a movie. I thought it was a very warm-hearted message and I couldn't help but feel sorrow for this woman's loneliness. Should I call her back to tell she had the wrong number so she could truly get in touch with Bethea? What would you do?
