Should men buy/wear GS Jordans? Curious about Velvet 11s

I'm actually new here, but I know some of the members that post on this board are much more devoted sneaker advocates then I am.  That said I had a question. 

What is the consensus regarding men wearing GS Jordans or even female Jordans?  Are there some things that are considered taboo when it comes to Jordans and shoes?  (If so what are they?)

I'm asking because I'm really feeling the Velet 11 Jordans.  I happen to be a shorter guy so they come in my size.  However, besides being GS Jordans, I'm under the impression that the shoes are for women.

What is the community's take on purchasing shoes (Jordans) NOT for men.  Anybody ever rock a GS or opposite sex Jordans?

Yup, agree with previous poster. If you like and can fit into a GS sized Jordan, go for it brother. It's not looked down upon.
