Every year the same questions get brought up about if certain players should make it to the All Star team. Some players either just get in ordon't get in at all based on their teams success.

Should team success matter when it comes to who makes the all star team?

Performance based only in my mind. If someone is having a fantastic season, they shouldn't be punished for playing on a poor team, and just becauseyou're on a great team, doesn't automatically warrant a selection. If the stats are equal, I would give the nod to the player on the better team inthat case.

I say it's a combo of both.

You gotta reward the teams like those Magic last year or the Celtics the year before that. With 3 all-stars from the same team. Especially when they got thebest records or what have you.

But then there are the dudes that kill on bad teams and they shouldn't be punished for the lack of talent their team has.

Like say the Bucks (hopefully no jinx, B.J. is my man) start to struggle, but Jennings continues to produce like he did in the beg. of the season....

Brook gets in, don't worry.

And I slightly disagree with your statement Big J.

I don't think if stats are even, that the person on the team with the better record should just automatically get in.

I hate the excuse that a guy is just scoring b/c his team is crappy.

To me, it's HARDER to get yours when the rest of your team SUCKS and the opposition focuses on ONLY (or mainly) you.

Durant last year... Bosh this year... Wade last year.... Kevin Martin a couple years back... Granger every year... Al Jefferson...

I agree though... I never felt that a player should be snubbed based off of lack of team success. I think when it comes down to it, the selection should bebased just on that 1 player & what he has done individually up until that point in the season.

I don't agree with the group off a winning team making it, when a nother worthy player (more worthy) could get the nod. It depends on who is making it overwho in that case.

Yes I feel that it should.

Unless a player is putting gaudy stats, I feel like they should be from a .500 team at least.

I actually liked that cause the East came back during that stretch.
