Sizing Question: Help Please.

Hey, I'm trying to buy some kicks from someone and they're not a shoehead. They can't tell me how i might fit in a different size. The only way forhim to measure is my foot and his foot using a ruler. My toes goes a tiny tiny bit over 10 inches on a ruler. Anyone else can measure their own feet and tellme what size they fit? I don't know if i can fit in a 8, anybody wear a 8?
I know this is really awkward, but i need this. I might get a steal. Thanks in advance.
