we just got some Element X Imaginry Foundation boards in and they're pretty sweet...
put one together for a kid today.

man they should not have someone who doesn't skate working at a skate shop. especially putting together peoples setups. no offense thats on the person that hired you not you.

I wish my local shop hadn't closed down. Their shop decks were pretty damn good. And they would usually have a 20 dollar deck weekend every so often.

There really is a difference tho. But you're right there are major distributions like Dwindle I think it was called for example. But I can tell you I felt the difference in all my boards from Shorty's,Citystars, X-Games (lol), AWS, Element (hated it), Blind(didn't like these either). Actually, my favorite deck was my AWS blank my Shorty's had crazy pop tho.

and the fact that you had an x-games deck is a tell all
shorty's don't have significantly better wood or anything that would make the pop better than other brands...it may have seemed like it had more pop 'cause the tail was steeper or shorter
