Never got around to watching this show but heard it bring the laughs.

Hollywood crazy tho.

Welp

Edit:

In December, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that numerous employees of the Showtime comedy had made claims about inappropriately handled sex scenes and Shaw's "completely unprofessional" behavior. Actress Samara Weaving exited the series after she claimed her contract was breached during the filming of a sex scene in the second season. Also among the allegations were complaints brought to the WGA by multiple staffers regarding credit issues and alleged race-based separation.

"These allegations are serious and disturbing," said Massachusetts state senator Nick Collins. "Massachusetts taxpayers cannot subsidize segregation and discrimination; unfair labor practice and harassment. That’s why my colleagues and I are calling for the State to withhold any tax credits that this production is eligible for, until an independent investigation by the proper authorities has taken place."

With her PR tour for the second season of the show — which debuted Jan. 20 — in full swing, Shaw has been chalking up the claims to inexperience as a first-time showrunner. "I went from making short films in my basement to running a crew of over 215 people and there's a lot of lessons along the way," she told Seth Meyers on Late Night. When the host went on to point out that "at no point in show business is there a management meeting," the creator-star replied, "Thank you for saying that. I'll clap to that," making no mention of the fact that she participated in the WGA's competitive Showrunner Training Program.

Allegations that she’d failed to maintain a closed set for performers doing a sex scene, and bizarre rumors that she’d segregated the show’s writing staff according to race.

Behind-the-scenes issues with Shaw’s role as SMILF showrunner emerged in December, as staffers complained to the Writers Guild of America of race-based separation in the writers’ room, as well as improper crediting and compensation.

Separately, Shaw is alleged to have pressured co-star Samara Weaving into a nude scene during the first season (her contract has a no-nudity clause), and violated on-set discretion for the filming of a Season 2 sex scene.

More importantly, and I've said this before, a Colombian dude playing a Puerto Rican cannot produce a kid like Larry with a White girl.

Ironically, tonight's episode is race based and it turns out Bridge and her baby daddy gf have beef in real life LOL

Somebody get Bodega Bamz another acting gig.

You talking about Teresa Palmer?

Frankie and Samara's characters have on and off again tension throughout the series. Samara filed the complaint against Frankie irl about being forced to do a nude scene despite her no nudity clause.

Might as well be cancelled. S2 has been kinda lackluster and disjointed. Definitely some good moments, but overall? Meh.

Given how Frankie carries herself I'm not surprised by any of this.

Gives off that unprofessional loose with rules vibe.

Race based staff segregation and inappropriate sex scene practices are out of left field though.

Not mad or even disappointed. S2 has been good but it has been way more experimental and out there narrative wise (in a good way) to the point it reminds me more of High Maintenance than it does Smilf s1.

I'll peep what she does next once that segregation stuff is explained/clarirfied.

Not surprised of the cancellation, second season is almost unwatchable how bad it’s been. Although I enjoyed the first season something about the show just seems to be “off”. The fat black friend/sidekick is a lame narrative and I’m not sure I want to watch the episode where she has cornrows with all the black extras in the background.

Okay finale.

Open ended with Rafi being a pill popper but w/e.

Wont happen but she belongs on Shameless. Great Fiona replacement. Bring Larry, her mom, etc.

Sad the show turned out this way. I thought Season 1 was fantastic, and was very realistic. I read all the crap leading into Season 2, and bailed.

is the last three eps even worth watching. i kinda lost interest this season and some episodes been a struggle to watch but since it's like half hour i was able to
