Waste of money to me, but something cool nonetheless i guess.

Snapchat is renaming its corporate self to Snap Inc, and launching its $130 Spectacles this fall in limited release. They’ll be one-size-fits all in black, teal, or coral colors. Spectacles let you tap the glasses’ rim to instantly record 10 seconds of video, three taps to record a maximum of 30 seconds, with a light on the front alerting people you’re recording.

Bangin on my chest b, I have no problems with it for the inevitability of that video
 
Since Snap is pretty big for teens i can see it being a hit in that market. Not as much for adults.
 
This is a potential goldmine and a huge invasion of privacy. I wonder if they're gonna eventually be able to record for much long. They look tacky as hell though
 
Stupid but all they gotta do is send the glasses to the Kardashians/Hadids and their fans will buy up stock

seriously tho, something about this really turns my stomach...you REALLY need a dedicated apparatus to share the minutiae of your daily life?

then again, I'm the kind of guy whose blood boils when I see a group of friends out at a restaurant or something all scrolling through their phones. like, you know you have an actual life that you're not living right now, right?

all that typed, these will sell out fast and be knocked off faster.

I don't think you're in the target age group. I wonder if it'll be successful though. Imagine the wave of snapchat knockoff apps.. Imagine instagram's version.. I guess they said Google Glasses were just too expensive
 
They'll succeed

They're more fashionable than Google Glass and they're a lot cheaper being only $130 instead of $1500.  People buy $130 glasses now already with no tech in it. 

Google Glass's ambition was admirable but they were tryna do too much too soon to catch on
