its a one season thing. if anything, they should make the nfc west winner go on the road for their playoff game

I think requiring Div winners without a winning record to go on the road for their playoff game (assuming the WC team has a winning record) is a good middle ground for the given situation.

i would love to see the rams in the playoffs

Please dude, Green Bay just like NYG and the Bucs are all still alive. Only thing is the playoffs start this week for them instead of in January. No one is "on the outside looking in" yet.
Some of you clowns automatically see someones sig/avy and assume they're incapable of being objective. I made this post because I don't just watch my own team play but I'm a fan of football in general... No one wants to watch any of these NFCW teams host a playoff game outside of their respective fanbases. I'd make this post if GB had the North wrapped up.

i'll just be happy with a playoff berth
Ok, so what if by some miracle that team that goes 7-9 sneaks out a win in the wild card round? Then wins the divisional round, making it to the Conference Championship.
Will people still be upset they were 7-9?
better yet if that 7-9 team somehow pulls a rabbit out of their behind and win their 6th superbowl, i think i wont be upset with them any longer....

call me crazy but i think the 49ers could win a playoff game if they were to win the west, and possibly the rams too. the 49ers are a much better home team then road team, they almost beat the saints already, and they almost beat the untouchable falcons in atlanta if it weren't for nate clements being stupid. if the rams were to get the right matchup i could see them making the 4 vs 5 game close but the seahawks would get violated by the saints, packers, or giants.

i'm seriously torn between what i want to have happen with the 49ers. part of me wants it to all be over sunday. no more white smith and no more mr. i want winners lets go look at the film coaching.
part of me wants them to get in, if they play the saints in the 4 vs 5 matchup it's going to be close. aside from the bucs game the 49ers haven't got blown out at home, they've played philly and the saints tough.
if and it's the biggest IF they were to win a wild card game, and played atlanta, it would be crazy considering how their week 4 meeting went.
