just heard it here on ESPN radio new york.... so my fellow knick fans: thoughts, comments, suggestions?

2nd edit: from Espn Insider

Another source told ESPN.com that the New York Knicks made overtures recently indicating they were willing to trade centers Eddy Curry and Jerome James for Artest and Thomas, but the Kings were balking at taking on the remaining two years and $12.8 million owed to James.

"The whole point of trying to package Artest with Thomas (due $7.9 million next season and $8.6 million in 2009-10) is to clear cap space. The Kings don't want another guy (James) clogging their cap for two more years," the source said.

aint no one gonna trade for them

not many Knicks fans were very happy when Z-Bo was traded to NYC...... So many people were questioning whether or not it would work.....

Exec: Knicks Trying To Deal Curry, Randolph
February 12, 2008 - 5:33 am
New York Daily News -
Several league executives who have spoken to the Knicks in recent days have confirmed to the New York Daily News that Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph aredefinitely up for trade.

According to columnist Mitch Lawrence, it is unclear what Isiah Thomas is asking for in return.

"The problem is that Zach still is seen as the Zach Randolph from Portland - he's got baggage - and people wonder if this is it for Eddy," saidone executive. "And, they've got some rough contracts."

Curry has struggled for much of the season.

"The question is whether he's regressed or, is this it, he's not getting any better?" said the executive. "You have to remember, whenEddy came out of Chicago, he was regarded as someone who did not like to work and who did not like basketball. So do you blame Zach's presence, or do yousay, Eddy doesn't have the upside the Knicks thought he had? In either case, the experiment with Zach has not worked."

The Knicks are hoping to hold onto David Lee, Nate Robinson and Jamal Crawford in any trade.

Are you kidding me? Knick fans loved this trade. They got rid of Stevie, got a 20 and 10 guy and claimed that he help them win in the playoffs, since theyear before the team was playoff-bound before injuries got in the way.

I wouldn't want this trade and I'm sure many Kings fans don't want it neither.

Yeah I remember on draft day everyone was cheering and spike lee looked like the knicks just won a championship

^ ya but some of them were still questioning the deal, especially with Zeke taking on another big contract...... but obviously some people liked it and somedidn't though.....

i know i hated that trade when it went down. i was like the only person booing and i almost got in trouble because i was working for the NBA that night.

To get rid of Eddy Curry, and clear PT for better players, AND get Artest in return, we should take another of their bad contracts. Maloofs would be doing us afavor with that trade imo. Stop being greedy Isiah. I usually try to give him the benefi of the doubt, but if he doesn't get ron after hearing thatproposal, he might as well just quit.

Why the hell would the Kings not only want the bum they originally drafted (and who should be thanking us for having such a weak front court that he got hispay day) and Z-Bo for the expiring Artest and Thomas' cheaper contract?

A better deal in Artest and Thomas for Nene, Kleiza, and Najera (+ maybe a draft pick) may be more interesting for the Kings.

Im not going to lie. I was like

Nuggets are unwilling to give up Kleiza, but I would rather see Ron on the team, if we can't keep both. The Kings wanting Nene is cool, he's injuryprone and makes a lot of money.
Why doesn't Camby play for the Knicks anymore?

oh yeah, didn't Ron artest said that he will opt out of his contract this year and sign with the knicks for the MLE?

He also said he's worth more than his contract is paying him. Plus, his agent seems to think he's a 13-15 million dollar a year player. So can we allagree about Ron Artest? Grain of salt.

Truth. And we didn't like Channing at all last year.

I'm all for getting rid of everyone on this team outside Lee, Chandler and Nate
