Pardon my ignorance, but how were the charges proven? Like after you assaulted him or whatever he called the cops and filed a police report, it went to court and the Prosecutor somehow proved it? How so?

She left the store before me since i had to get the bags.
since she was in front of me i guess dude didn't know i was with her
she walks to the car and this kid is sitting on it..i think he was 14-15( i was 17 @ the time)
he was sitting on the car and slides off as she walks near it..as he was sliding down, the metal part of his jeans left a long $%$ scratch on the hood/fender
i'm still about 20 feet behind so i didn't hear what she said..but she said something that pissed him off, and he started cursing at her and then spit on her

the rest is history...i seen a frying pan on the floor and clocked him over the head with it and proceeded to whip his $%$ until some dude pulled me off him..

Although there are numerous different elements than Assault, one of the most glaring differences is that Harassment in the Second Degree does not require that you cause any physical injury, substantial or otherwise, to the victim. Having established, in general, how the crimes are different, the best part is…if you strike someone and don’t cause any injury (go wimps!) you may be charged with Harassment, merely a violation and not a crime.


If you really hit son in the head with a frying pan and made out with this charge, they got some on point lawyers at legal aid.

The article is a little false

i didn't do 15 days, i did 3.
i was convicted of the assault, and harassment.

That meant the judge who sentenced Correa didn't actually have the right to do so and the conviction was thrown out.

If it was, then what are you complaining about?

... and for the record, I believe that court cases are public knowledge.
My dad's case was published in the San Jose Mercury News in 2002
