So I'm getting laid off...

What's up NT. So I was at home watching t.v. when the mailman knocks at the door and hands me a letter. I sign for it and open it up. It said I'll begetting laid off by July 31st. I know that these times are rough and there's plenty of other people going through the same thing. I live in L.A. and I justwanted to see of any of you guys had any advice on what can/should I do? I'm 24 and I just moved out my moms a couple months ago, got a car note, creditcard bills, etc. And what makes it worse is that I can't really go back home. My moms just got laid off too!

File for unemployment ASAP. The longer you wait to file the longer you wait for that first check. Hope you got a nice savings account.

you usually have to wait until after your last day to file for unemployment benefits. start job searching, saving bread. unemployment comes weekly tho. checkin your state to see the max amount you can get and plan accordingly

you better listen to this man...I got laid off in March and it took a month for me to get my first check

Luckily for me i had a coo savings account. You'll be aight for awhile bro. Just get unemployment and use it wisely. And hit the job hunt hard homes. Good luck
