So Nike banned me

g-time g-time this gonna be me next

I did get "threatened" by DSG for returns about a year ago. But it was their own doing, because they had no problem sending me used shoes. Sent me 4 pairs of used shoes. Of COURSE those are going back. How you sending me used shoes (not just tried on) and expecting me to keep them. Also if it's a brand new model, like the Sabrina 1 or the KD 16 or the Lebron 20, how on earth can you get mad at someone for ordering on the day of the release and then returning the shoe for fit issues? How can anyone possibly know how they fit? They just came out!

I think they just have arbitrary metrics and enforce those. I'd do what someone suggested, and get to a human being. Policy is dumb.

But I will also say, I haven't bought anything for myself at DSG since then, except one clearance pair I knew I would keep.

If you are one of those people who can’t break brand loyalty, I would express Nike doesn’t care about you.

Reason I say congrats is you will enjoy better products and stop using Nike for every sport cause they aren’t the best selection

They truly don't.

I've bought alot of my workout gear from store on Amazon and the quality and price is way better. And most importanrtly, the branding is minimial to no branding at all.

The faces that these employees make when you wanto return something is weird. Like bro, if x item doesnt peform or isnt to my liking, I am not keeping it.

Sounds like you’ve been victimized and talking from experience :lol
It's a whole philosophy at this point...

We all had the Eastbay catalogs, and cutouts from the back of magazines. But those were NICHE products that weren't mainstream enuff to be carried nationally. You only did mail-in orders maybe a handful times per season.

But in 2025? We got ppl ordering daily and they ain't DISABLED/ELDERLY. Then they wonder they have to rely on Dating Sites (often to no avail)

You supposed to meet people in the daily course of DOIN THANGS. Look up the "familiar stranger" concept. If somebody sees you multiple times in public, they'll feel more comfortable approaching you and starting a Convo.

Besides my car insurance and mortgage, I don't got nothing on auto pay. Infact when I setup my bank account, I declined to have debit cards setup to limit the possibility of impulse buys. I have to physically go to a bank teller and withdrawal cash if I want to make a big purchase which gives me plenty of time to evaluate things. But anyways I've gotten to know the bank staff very well, seen tellers start from the bottom and end up with their own office. They advise me on building my credit, and while I don't got an AMEX black card yet they helped me get a USDA rural loan and I'm only paying $450 a month for a quiet house on the outskirts of town.

It's not just apparel/gadgets, the food delivery is getting out of hand too. Me personally, I discovered Farmers Markets last year. In Ohio they run from April to October. with different townships having them on certain days of the week. If you like in-shape white chicks that drive late model SUVs this is a major come up.

I be trying to wean people off UberEats/DoorDash cause off how frustrating it is for both the customer and the driver. Most dash'ers got learning disabilities and can't read instructions/notes. They driving 12 year old Chevy Sparks and Ford Fiestas not realizing the extra 2k miles per month necessitates more frequent maintenance. You'll see them driving around the Summertime with all 4 windows down cause they AC compressor blown. But to them it's worth it cause they can set they own schedule, blast they music, and smoke in the car. Plus if a customer cancel, they gets free food

Brother I think there's probably an underlying issue there that should be taken care of if this is something you need to resort to.
Not having a debit card is just a bandaid.

All retail stores are starting to crack down and ban accounts who have excess returns or call/complain about missing package delivery too much. If customer service can’t help, start buying in store.

Damn. Didn’t know Nike was cracking down that hard on people. They should go after resellers not everyday people buying/returning, especially when their sizing is so inconsistent

Nobody cares about million dollar or billion dollar apparel companies being upset about returns. It happens in ALLLLL industries

Fraud happens of course, but some grievances/situations are legitimate

Condolences to OP and their family. Sizing can be so inconsistent among all Appearal companies it seems. Based on the underlying issue the same thing can happen if you go to another brand/retailer cause they too are cracking down on returns.

Never really paid attention till I came across a article (think it was BoF) regarding the economic impact of excessive returns. It was surprising to me, anyway only thing that could help would be keeping track of your body measurements. Not an complete solution but it was useful for me when shopping online.

Couple of times at my local Nike store, saw dudes returning some 8-10 pairs of the same Jordan shoe. Reseller realized nobody was biting. The same cashier who handled the return, rung up my purchase. Heard her talking to another associate, how they’re tired of these dudes just buying a boat load of shoes, just to return them.

Man, I had an experience with a return just a few weeks ago.
Bought a Milwaukee Drill set for $250 from the ACE Hardware website. I go and do store pickup, and dude hands me the box which was a bit beat up but i didn't think much of it.
I get home and i notice the seal on the box is broken, i take the items out the box and the both the drill and impact driver are both clearly used. The carrying bag was dirty like someone had been on the job site for a week and then decided to return it.
I go back to the store no more than 1hr later to return/exchange it and they are giving me a hard. First they said they had no more in stock and that the item i got wasn't used but it was the floor model which was BS.
I told them if it was the floor model then i expect a big discount which they refused.
I then said just go ahead and return it, to which they said they needed a manager but he wasn't available. SMH
I finally got a little Karen on them and told them i wasn't leaving until something got done. All of a sudden they bring out a new item from the back and made the exchange.
Then i notice that they put the used item right back onto the floor to resell again? like WTF

First time ever shopping at ACE and never shopping there again.
