hes a dynamite scorer.
proved that he can pass and can make good decisions this year by getting 8 assits a game
might not be explosive, but hes still quick ala steve nash

i thought that he wouldntt be able to make it too, but now after watching playing point guard, i think he can be pretty good.

what you guys think?

because there are always great scorers in college that don't cut it in the league, most recent example that i can come up with would be Redick andMorrison.

When did this kid turn into a legit PG?

He played two decent teams so far and in those two games he has more TO's than assists.

And this is the 2nd Steve Nash comparison I've read, which is absurd.

He's not playing PG in the NBA IMO, or at least not successfully. He'll be a nice role player.

In the next 10 days he has West VA and Purdue..that will be a little more telling in how he stands as a PG

i can see him ending up being a Mo williams type of player.
Is a good scorer & has the ability to distribute the ball.

but steph curry has the ability to dribble the ball well enough to at least get it up the court. that is something that House/Reddick lack.

Averaging 8 assists in college doesn't equate to being a good passer in the NBA. The players are bigger, longer, stronger and the defenses are smarter.Curry will be a good spot-up shooter like Brent Barry, Matt Carroll but he won't be scoring like he does now.

Both of them are a step slow and have trouble getting their shot off in the league...I don't think that will be his problem

Whenever someone has to transition into being a PG, its always a question. PG's in the league have been running the 1 all they life..even if hedoesn't become a solid PG in the league, he'll just be a specialist off the bench

He is only a handful of games into the season so who knows he might prove that he can run the 1 at a high level in March

He is no where near as strong and as athletic as Ben Gordon. Ben is built solid (NH).

he was kind of a small fry at uconn tho, i can see curry putting on some pounds when he makes the transition

Juan Dixon....Eddie House...Craig Hodges...BJ Armstrong

tweener guards that can fill in at both spots for short periods of time and have consistent jumpers

He's obviously going to play the PG in the league. He's going to be fine at the next level, trust me. The kid's 6'3. I remember a guy that was 6'3 who turned out to be a pretty good. He came outta Santa Clara, and Steph is a waaaaaaaaaay better scorer than that guy.
I won't call out a name...

1.athleticism..the kid doesnt have an ounce of it..no bunnies..no crazy first step. and that can hurt you in todays day and age.

2. passing. he can pass..i mean so can my niece..but hes not a facilitator in any way shape or form..i havent seen him play this yr so MAYBE HE added that. ifhe did. he has some upside.

3. everyone keeps sayin he creates his shot better than redick/adam emorisson...hmmm prolly the dumbest thing ive ever heard. those dudes were much betterscorers than steph. and they wasnt jus set shot shooters..please rewatch some duke and gonzaga games.

i jus think ppl are so infuated with the fact that this is a black kid who can shoot lights out. its not somethin u see everyday. he doesnt dunk on ppl..hedoesnt have flashy passes or a dope crossover. and its enetertaining to watch i cant front

well, i know that you cant really base things off of numbers, but last year, derrick rose average only about 3 or 4 assists per game. i know that he problyplayed better competition that curry is right now, but im sure that you can some how take that into account

You buggin on this one Haiti. I'll agree that Morrison is a better scorer than Steph because he could do it in different ways but no way Reddick was abetter scorer than Steph.
