the modern age soccer is quickly catching up, i wont be surprised if by the next world cup soccer overtakes hockey.

I'd appreciate baseball more if it didn't have so many fat people playing. If I was fat, and wanted to succeed in a sport. I'd just roid up and play baseball.

im a soccer player and i HATE diving. It makes me feel inferior to my opponent if i go into a challenge and come out being the one on the ground IMO. but this vid is from euro cup or last WC and i still

You say with baseball you get plays, hits, steals, etc. well the same excitement, and some argue more, happens in soccer. 0-0 doesn't mean the game had no shots on goal, no close saves, no great dribbling, no exciting through balls, no great crosses, etc. It simply means no one scored.
If someone said "baseball is nothing but guys hitting a little ball with a stick and running around silly bases" you would obviously attack the naive and misinformed argument. But someone putting a ball into the corner of the goal from 25 yards out is "just kicking a ball" or a player hitting their teammate perfectly in stride with a great pass across the field is "just passing". No one can force you to like a sport, but you should at least try to understand what makes it exciting and a quality game. Doesn't mean you have to love it at all, but at least you'd be more informed as to why people like the game and follow it with such passion.
