Sometimes you just need a day off. Furthermore, we, the young, are killing ourselves.

I agree 100%, ya won't catch me killing myself working 80hrs a week. I need chill time and the gym.

Last week I was stressing myself out, so I decided to skip all my classes.

I sometimes think thats part of growing up.

Maybe our parents and people who joined the work force had the same thoughts but they just conformed to it. People might just give up and get sucked into thewhole idea of working non stop.

There is little free time to play with. I hate the idea of working 8+hrs then sleeping 8 hrs or less. Then there is the supposetly 8hrs of free time but we allknow thats not the case. Commuting to work takes away those precious hours of free time.

LIVING FOR THE WEEKEND

Thats why i'm trying to stack now, set up some outlets to help the needy...devote my life to those causes and get the hell out of this Babylon system.

I know EXACTLY how you feel OP. Though I'm currently not in that situation anymore. But damn if it wasn't stressful. My only day off was Monday tho.

Yea you can, just tell your husband to get his lazy behind off of the couch and look for a job.
He is, so I can't even ++%$% about that. Along with the thousands of other ppl unemployed in this state. At least now he's getting interviews though. But for the longest we only had one car and not much you can do on the bus route

It depends on the situation that you are in financially , i wouldnt want anyone to work like a slave but when you have bills to pay, need money for the savingsor have an expensive lifestyle then I completely understand.

Stay up to all my hardworking nt'ers.

and to those that live at home rent free and you have no job, shame on you.

Hell even wal mart wasn't on the bus route. MN has the crappiest public transportation system but now that we have two cars I'm not trippin'. Forthe most part I just keep it moving, no point in getting angry over the situation cuz it's not even like that, but every now and then I get down. Usuallywhen I see something I want to buy, but can't because I have enough $ for groceries and that's it

but we got a roof over our head, food on thetable and all the bills get paid on time.

it's cutting it close though, not a lot of room for emergencies.

but i think we have all been pushed to that point, some more then others.....

Adding to a few ideas already expressed, this hustle and bustle comes as a result of other people's greed and self interests. It doesn't help that somany of us tend to live beyond our means, so when the time comes for us to be frugal, that alone is too much to handle comfortably because we are still payingoff that luxury condo or sedan. And here I am acting holier than thou. I'm about to get a car in the next couple of months with the majority of it beingfinanced or loaned.

I think some people have misunderstood my original post. I'm not quitting any time soon. However, I think there needs to be some mandatory R&R inplace, comparable to the Europeans.

At people saying man up. I spend about 60 hours between work andschool during a week. I don't have a day off at all.

So what you work 70 hours a week.. You talk like its normal or a good thing. My father is killing himself working these crazy hours. I'd take less moneyand hours if it means my father will live longer.

Im lost. How does you working less for less pay make your father any better off?

i don't know about you guys but i slept 7 hours last night, and now i just woke up from a 2 hour nap

You're reading too deep. I'm talking about my father working less hours for less pay, not me.

I agree. But at the same time wit people getting laid off u almost have to keep grindin. I gotta take a couple days off in a week and I'm dreading dealinwith managements complaints of short staff and all that. Holidays comin up which means more money I'll make for a company that gives me scraps. It'scrazy. Though I do have my degree finding a new job is very tough. My inspiration is not living desolent and the thought that it can get better and I won'thave to rely on 40 hours +overtime every week for years just to stay afloat working Some job I hate. It's gonna get better

These things really grind my gears. The workforce constructs, in terms of power and wealth, are just disgusting.

Is this modern day slavery? Watered down indentured servants, perhaps?
