Sony is messing up big time tho, they dont realize, free is the new demand. people want things free , and thats what you have to compete with. they just dont want to.
every other large corporation has sucessfully competed with "free" they offer premium service, or better updates, better feautures.
instead of fighting the guy that wants to play mario games on his ps3, why not make a netflix like subscription service where players pay $10 to play retro games?

i hope they lose, for the sake of the jailbreaking time, because if they win, rooting on android, and jailbreaking on iphones will be next on the list to get canned.
i'm all for open systems, however, people need to understand just what might happen from a development standpoint for future products.
Yeah, because there will always be the minority that does all this just to get all games for free, I'm just saying sony should give fconsumers what they want instead of alienating their market. There's people that would avoid all the trouble of jailbreaking if all the features they wanted were present already in the official firmware.
