NVM I'm up on Kmeaw now using multiman and did my 1st backup :-D. Now I just need to be pointed in the right direction to get MORE backups

Kmeaw Cfw is the way to go Here
just know when you rip  games to HDD not all of them work

jailbroke my 40gb 2 days ago, just wanted to thank debs and slim for posting some knowledge in here. I still have alot of work to do(like getting FBA Next to recognize my roms, think im gonna take slim's approach with changing the path,) I've been bookmarking sites and just really educating myself
 been playing blades of steel ALL DAY

PS3 firmware 3.56 has been released, it is highly advised to NOT update at this time until we get out hands sticky and find out what new has been added. If you do feel daring to update feel free to do so and post your results.

3.56 is out so don't upgrade. Glad I stayed at 3.41! I knew the newbs thought they would be able to play online with 3.55 cfw forever lol. You are likely to only play online for a few weeks considering the updates. Same thing happened in November with the 3.50 spoof which allowed online play. Best bet is to have 2 ps3's like myself and play backups/homebrew on one and online on the other if wanted. I doubt they will ban though, just patch for "security" with no added features.
