I bought a USB charger cable from eBay, charged it up, and the only thing it will do is display this screen 'Every moment has its music' when you hit abutton (any button).

I can hook it up to my computer and see it a device n my computer, and I can open the folders on my computer for the mp3 player, but I can't play anythingwith it/on it.

Any help?

What happens when you attempt to play something on it, exactly? Do you notice any glitching or fidgeting? Any chance of water damage?

When it's plugged into my computer, I can't operate the device, because there's this 'device connected to computer' screen, so there'sno playing anything when it's plugged up.

When it's unplugged from my computer and I hit the large play button on the bottom, this black and blue 'Every moment has its music' screen comesup for a second, then the screen goes back to black.

That 'Every moment has its music' screen comes up no matter what buttons I push on the front of the player, then disappears after a second.

Check the Hold button, and

apparently the device has a reset button somewhere right on it, no special button presses needed for a hard reset, so try that as well.

From some FAQ website:
I had the same problem with SONY NWZ-S615F. I depressed (with the end of a paperclip) the reset button on the bottom left corner of the player and this solved the problem. Sony warns that using the reset button may result in lost music files, but I didn't experience any file losses.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that had already tried the reset button. You need a paper clip or a sharp pen to press the button, but I've done that, numeroustimes.

Nothing. It does nothing.

And I've definitely checked a few different FAQ sites.

There's gotta be a way to make this POS work. I paid like $10 for the charger cable, dammit!
