Whats up.... I am currently trying to get a small speaker set-up for my room. I do not really want to spend over $250 which I know is not enough for a good set-up but whatever. I do not really want a subwoofer at the moment as long as my bookshelf speakers are decent. I will be using it for music most of the time. I just want some input on what i was thinking of getting.

I use the Kipsch pro media 2.1. I know you said you don't want a sub but you're really not going to get any low end out of bookshelf speakers. I've never even heard of dayton brand stuff. Ive heard a lot of good things about the Swan M10's as well but it seems to be more of a near field system, wont really fill a room. I use the Klipsch with an Apple airport express so I can wireless stream music from my phone or computer to my system. No visible cables.

I am a sound engineer BTW.

^ I was considering those actually but I want passive speakers due to the fact that you could add/upgrade components
