Hmmm... Well it has a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I wonder who to believe.

Cliffnotes.

Spoiler [+]
Sothis lady & her bf were scientists, he wanted to have a child, she didn't want to yet.
They were working on a project, they deterred from it and they created thishuman/creature hybrid.
The guy wanted to kill it because it wasunstable.  It wasn't right to him.
Shedidn't want to - she used her DNA for the project.
They raised it, thething had erratic behavior, just random things.
Later on, he "saw" his gf in the creature, found out she used her DNA.
He had sex with her (the creature), it's wings and tail all came out during this sex scene.
Then, thecreature was dying, they buried it.
It came back alive, turned into amale version, killed the bf & raped the girl scientist.
At the end, she's pregnant with a creature baby, and signed a contract to not let anyone else know about it.
The end.

How dumb is this?

Without a doubt, I never really payed attention to it. Looked lame

SMH that I'm trying to stand up for Predators by saying Adrien Brody doesn't make weak flicks and he goes and does this a month away from Predators

I wanted to just get up and leave so many times during that movie. It went way overboard and started becoming ridiculous.
That one part towards the end, I just got up and walked around the lobby and used then came back because I really did not want to see that. Plenty of other people left too.
I do not see how it got positive reviews at all, the whole movie was just a crap fest.....so stupid

 Horrible

The movie was over the top; however, from a scientific stand point, it is very plausible. I enjoy movies where things can actually happen. With today's advancements in gene manipulation and hybrid cells, things like this can happen. We use hybridomas to study diseases and we make human*animal hybrids to test treatments. The scary thing is, this pandora's box has been opened and we could possibly create a monster, in some form.

why cant my friends think like you? now i havent seen the movie, but my friends would summarize the movie the way the other guy up there did, making it sound stupid.

The movie is rated pretty well by many critics because they spent the time to brush up on some current biological sciences before watching the movie. Many people who watch it will scream that it is stupid and can never happen. But the scary thing is...it is happening already. Trust me, I do it for a living.

That story line actually sounded pretty interesting if it was executed well. No worse than Human Centipede.

Well, I went to see this last weekend with my girlfriend and she personally loved it... I would've preferred if it ended differently, however.

The first half of the movie plays as a well thought out sci-fi movie but I felt in order to keep it from getting boring the director decided to make the movie increasingly more outrageous as it went along, and by the end it was crappy horror film.  I did like how it started off, Adrien Brody and the rest of cast a pretty good job acting throughout but by the end it just became so ridiculous.

I personally found the story interesting because for the past year I've been interning at a company that's been funded by the Human Genome Project and this movie, the premise at least, is one of the ethical fears many people hold when testing with human DNA.

Can you imagine what kind of "monsters" could be created if there was not an ethical board? I could have made a Pegasus by now.
I rather enjoyed the movie because none of the things that happened were far-fetched. Everything concerning the creature is scientifically possible.

I do feel that this movie is not for the general audience because it will go over the heads of most.

The last two replies make me actually want to see it more. I wasn't planning on seeing it at all, at first.
