That's because when IV was being released the studio had no faith in the movie, which gave them reason since Lucas was still a rookie director with his success in American Graffiti only, plus he went over budget by a lot. So in case it failed and Lucas would have to pay the company back they gave him FULL merchandising rights to any and all things Star Wars.

Been obsessed with Star Wars since I can remember
. Still have a bin of toys from when I was a kid hanging around the house somewhere... Pretty sure I went as Luke Skywalker like 4 years in a row as a kid for halloween. Some of the Star Wars Adidas line was pretty sick.

Star wars is the goat. Even all the SW video games were awesome. I think one day they'll rerelease all the movies in the theatres again

Episode 3 is a favorite among a lot of Star Wars fans. Nothing wrong w/that at all. The original trilogy as a whole is definitely superior to the prequel, but ROTS is def one of my favorite (tied with Empire Strikes Back).
It also has some of the best lightsaber duels in the whole saga! The last 25 min or so are
It's kinda like watching the Titanic though
