dead @ this youtube comment about the conclusion of the sequel trilogy

"The perfect ending: The galaxy blows up. Everyone is dead, especially Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose and Kylo. They get blown up twice. As all hope seems lost, out of the blast comes the Millennium Falcon and as the cockpit comes into view, we see Luke, Chewie and Lando flying away. Luke hangs the dice that people seem to think are so damn important and says, “Let’s get the hell out of this mess.” (Traditional SW ending anthem plays)"
The dice are the stupidest thing in the last couple years. Barely anyone knew about them. I did not need a backstory about the dice

Filoni directing the first episode and is an executive producer of the show.

Dude is being groomed to make his own movie, show, or take over after Kennedy leaves.

No reason to front on Bryce directing. Plenty actors at even younger ages are directing especially women.

I think Filoni is very happy being in his own little corner, creating the stories he wants.

He’s always been more of a writer/Director anyways. It’s big leap from that to the president of all Lucasfilm

If anything, he should be the creative director of the Lucasfilm story group. The main consultant who works with the Rians and Benioffs to develop stories for their movies.
Reminds me of Bruce Timm over at DC. Over 20 years of classic animation and superhero storytelling that's consistently better than the comics in many ways and has never wrote a script or done some storyboards for w/e the **** DC is doing with their movies.

Feige kinda came out of nowhere. Like if for some reason Feige wasn't given the reigns after certain ppl stepped down I'm not sure many of us would know who he is unless he got a top job @ Fox or Sony. He was just an associate producer for a long while and simply worked his way up in that position with some good breaks.

Also yall keep talking about him but an important thing overlooked is Filoni is in the wrong department. Its why I brought up Timm. If you want to take lead on the film you transition in to the film studios. If you want tv, transition to the the tv studios.

But the flip side of the coin to that is Disney was the one who bought Lucasfilm. So you know Disney folks are not just gonna move out of the way to give whatever Lucasfilm guys their position.

It’s really only been 5 years or so since Disney took over and who knows how the higher ups really view Filoni. But like niketalker23 niketalker23 said, this Mandalorian show could be the first real test for him to prove what he’s got to the suits at Disney.

Bryce has been directing for a minute. LOL Trump szn in full effect I see.

ANYWAY, all the other directors are cool and I'm sure Filoni won't just get incompetent people just to backfire.
I trust Filoni a lot and Favreau is almost always on point.

Well it is a very important job and unlike Marvel, Lucasfilm wasn't on a roll with movies and an established plan/outline for the studio.

George was chilling and letting all his franchises languish a bit so there was no reason for a president in that function. Plus with Disney tapping KK I'd assume she was heavily involved with the purchase of Lucasfilm and the transition of power and creatively.

And yeah Filoni would've had to been proving himself a decade in advance to be considered. That's literally how Feige worked his way up.

Just mentioned her in another thread, but Kathryn bigelow would be in my top 3 draft board to do a SW movie or trilogy

Saying my body is ready ain't even the word. But if I had $1 from everyone who told me at nycc they want to do a Mandalorian now, I would've been able to pay for this entire costume above in singles already:lol

Watching some old clone wars episodes, Jar Jar was indeed a master force user. I wish the sith lord theory was true and it was allowed to play out. Dude was like drunken master floating through fights seamlessly.

Star Wars IX: Return of Jar Jar?

8o

Darth Jar Jar honestly, in hindsight, especially given the reaction to the prequels would be a bigger twist than Vader being Luke's dad :lol

all these rumors have been brutal so far

but george lucas coming in to help does makes sense for that one particular scene

didnt jar jar end up being a homeless hooker in a new cannon book?
