:lol I find it funny that it’s being reported as a success.

Lucasfilm just lucky Marvel decided to only watch 2 movies this year and overall blockbusters ain’t hitting like that

I'm glad people who are seeing this movie are seemingly satisfied, for the most part, but it seems like the default defensive response now is "But it had a smaller budget and it's gonna make that money back":lol

It's like Disney pushed the hype that this was the first SW movie in 7 years but they didn't back it up with the budget to really make it feel like the spectacle it should've been. Curious to see the drop-off numbers this week.

yeah i think the big reason for the budget is they shot most (if not all) of it in that big giant screen background that they use for their SW D+ shows which is also why it still looks like a tv show on the big screen (?)

Loved the movie. Not everything needs to have universe ending stakes. Was a fun movie and was thoroughly entertained. Seems like most of the audience scores agree.

-70% second weekend in absolutely astounding…I can’t believe that was even possible…This probably isn’t going to even pull $200M domestic off at this point…What Disney has done to this IP needs to be studied…

$6.5M the second Friday is absolutely wild. As jaded as I am with this franchise, and who was never gonna pay to watch this movie, it’s just sad to see where we are today.

I need that kool-aid the shills are drinking because you’ve gotta have some screws loose to go so hard defending this stuff today:lol

Jabbas kid kept saying the same “I’m not my father” **** the entire movie

I thought Jeremy Allen white was a bad fit for the character too

It really is a case of David vs Goliath. Losing to YouTube directors who appeal to the young generation, low budgets and horror themes.

They just need to nuke it and do fresh stories for the movies.

No one wanted Mando the movie. Meanwhile Tim Challamet (sp) going to star in the biggest sci fi movie of the year.

I just came back from Mando and loved it. Doesnt feel like 3 episodes stitched together at all, feels bigger-movie like. Not sure why theres hate out there, and dont understand what exactly people wanted out of a Mando movie.
