I like how you say you eat high protein and low carb like that excludes you from disease. The human body's preferred source of energy is glucose. Fruit is the most assimilable form of glucose. 60% or more of your daily caloric intake should come from these carbohydrates. Hrmmm. Yet, you are doing the complete opposite.
The human body can still thrive on as little as 7% protein. Every reputable health organization in the world will tell you this. It's nothing new.
Yet, people, especially Americans, seem to have an infatuation with protein. Like it's the be-all end-all of health. It's very minute in the grand scheme of things though.
60% or more of your calories should come from glucose?sounds like a great way to get diabetes and get fat, not so much stay healthy.![]()

every now and then the thought of puffing one down lurks but it never happens.
1. I'm not saying buy protein shakes, what i was stressing is a balanced diet. I'm not cutting anything completely out except red meat and oil/grease.
As far as carbs goes, too much is bad for you....people eat way more than their recommended daily value hence. Carbohydrates are an easy way to gain weight, it's everywhere, it's abundant, it's delicious, and your body metabolized excess glucose to fat.
2. I'm not ODing on proteins...my typical dinner is 2 marinated chicken breasts, a serving of rice, mixed vegetables.
3. Fruits are a sources of sucrose (fructose +sucrose), the health benefits in fruits isn't in the sugars. Fruits and vegetables are an excellent source of ruffage, vitamins, anti-oxidants etc
AGAIN I'M NOT HERE PROMOTING AN ATKINS DIET.....WE ALL KNOW THAT DOESN'T WORK. I'M ADVOCATING A BALANCED DIET.
im sure you know of this already, but....vaporize
Yeah, i am thinking about investing in that for this upcoming school year, it just seems real harsh when you go through swishers like nothin, anybody got avolcano for sale...?![]()

What are good cereals to eat for breakfast? Lately I've been eating Raisin Bran and Cheerios.
Also, I've been eating fruits such as peaches, oranges, and bananas as part of my diet.
The soda's been cut off too, and I've been drinking a lot of water lately.
Props to this thread slick.

Many of the most lethal ailments that plague us are a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental risk factors. Sometimes it seems like getting sick is left to chance (mutations, viruses, etc). One of such diseases that comes to mind are various cancers and tumors. With so much that could go wrong in the human body, what do yall do to at least curb some of these environmental risk factors, something you have control over. It's no guarantee but taking care of our bodies can ensure us long healthy lives and the younger you start the better.
-I exercise at least 4 times a week
-I don't eat red meat (for the most part....I only eat chicken or sea food)
- I eat a well-balanced diet (full of vegetables, fiber, and protein)...high protein, fiber, low carbs, fats. I don't eat fried food, except on special/ rare occassions.
-I stay away from soda (unless offered one for free or at special occasions)...I only drink water, cranberry juice and tea. And the occasional coffee![]()
-Multivitamins + antioxidants
What I need to change
-Alcohol....although i only drink once every three to four weeks, so maybe it's not so bad.
-I also chain smoke when I drink![]()
Beer is the most difficult things I've ever had to give up. I love the taste of beer and the beer intoxication>>any other alcohol but itmakes me gain weight. I'll have a bottle every now and then but no more binge drinking. I miss beer pong and click clack.Originally Posted by kingkb34
