Was issued a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign.  I felt I did make the correct full stop but didn't really get to tell the officer that.  The officer was very brisk in communicating with me, almost like a robot plus I know from experience that trying to argue doesn't help.  I am already going to write an appeal letter and take photos of where to officer was parked because I don't get how she could actually tell I came to a full stop from where she was... on top of that it was night and raining.  I'm going to try and raise reasonable doubt through all of that.
The thing I needed help on was if the date on the citation is incorrect, does that automatically count as a dismissal if I try and take it to court?

So write the letter or just take it to court?
What should I say in court?

The date said ____, but I wasn't even driving that day. (

atleast that's what my cousin said and they dismissed it)

Besides just call the court and reschedule your day... 9/10 the cop won't even show up.

Even if the mistake of the date was one day off?

I would take it to court, and plead your case to the judge. Most of the time the officer won't show up. If your lucky enough and live in an area that has cutbacks and laid off officers, then they will need them to do real work and not show up for petty court trials.
