I couldn't find any way to look this up and google searching led me nowhere, for some reason earlier today things started to sound weird in my ear. Alot of things sound the way someone's voice would sound talking into a fan. Not everything sounds this way just certain sounds are peoples voices from far away. I put my headphones on and listened to a couple songs and there were small parts of songs where some sounds sounded that way also. Same thing happens when i watch tv. Has anyone had something like this happen to do. I don't know what to do right now.

My friend had a similar problem but unlike you, he heard a constant ringing, so he went to the doc's office and the verdict was he had Tinnitus which occurs by constantly bombarding your ears with loud music. Its becoming  more prevalent nowadays because of people blasting their music through those tiny earbuds. Look into it bro and best wishes, and hopefully we pinpointed your problem!

I would guess one of two things... Either (like PaulBaeKR said) you've been listening to too much loud music and stuff and this is some short-term reaction to it (with long-term damage as well), or you have some sort of ear infection or fluid build-up in the ear. Have you been sick recently? Did a spider crawl in your ear? Listen to a lot of loud music recently?
