I'm hoping Sim or Guile is next to get unveiled. All I want is Dudley in the dlc and I'll be more than happy. I just want to see them give Dudley some tools to get around characters with decent low forwards. Give him a chance against the Elena's of the world. Fuerte can stay in SF4, I don't want that troll in SF5.

Guile will be DLC..
The leak list has been solid..
Hopefully they won't do too many characters from 4 because of the timeline.
I think it's time for some obscure characters to get love like Maki, Eagle, Sodom, Oro, Q, etc..
Outside the main core, we need some flavor, also want to see different characters to force people to learn different characters instead of seeing the same top 8 finals which are either shotos or shotos [emoji]128518[/emoji][emoji]128518[/emoji]

SF V is looking pretty solid there has been changes since the betas and they look good. Only thing stopping me from playing is the PS4 d-pad hopefully mad catz drop another fight pad

Don't know how the story properly progresses if Charlie is in it but Guile isn't in the initial roster. I'm assuming Charlie is a huge part of the story

It's like Chris Redfield seeing Jill Valentine again in RE5..
No way Capcom doesn't bless us with characters rivals or their core characters..
I just hope for a mix of players in DLC..

If Birdie can come back then there's hope for those guys. Q is very popular and Sodom is like the only original alpha character who's been ignored so He has to come at one point. I want Eagle to come back but we already have two British characters already.

The story is all over the place too but if you know Alpha then next thing is to watch this:

Watching that and reading the UDON comics, you can sort of piece it together. Reminds me I still need to finish reading those.

I don't really know where 4 fits in but they said they're going to put in a big effort on the storyline and they'll have too if this is a prequel to 3.

Not really even hype, and haven't even followed like I did back in 07 when they announced 4. I'm getting
around to it, I really fell out of 4 with balance issues and constant changes. Haven't been to Evo in 2 years
hopefully this game will change that up but I'm skeptical.

It's funny people were still surprised that leak list has been 100% fact. Glad I can't be disappointed with
a trash Honda in this game. Pretty excited that Rufus, Elf, Yun, Viper and other random spam dive kick
characters didn't make it. Super excited no lame Blanka, but I expect him in the DLC. Not sure how Sim will
work in this version. I'd prefer Necro honestly and Oro.

I'm pretty excited for the new blood in the FGC with the release of this game. Was getting pretty bored with the
current pool of US and Japanese players. Even though the old blood will still dominate for a little bit,
the FGC in general needs new direction.

The list for the new characters is accurate but the other lists have not. None of them had Zangief.
Siliconera had it as Urien and Alex but there's no more space for them unless they will be added after launch.

As for the new blood, what's intereting to me is that there's so many Japanese players who don't make it to international tournaments yet they cause problems nationally.

Dashio won TGS with Seth and that tournament was stacked!

I thought Snakeeyes was the best Zangief but even that is up in the air after going to Japan to face the best Zangief there.




Sony also announced that there were 500k registrants for the beta in China. Now that consoles are not banned there and with cross play across PS4 and PC they might be a force in the future.

I'm also interested to see who all the character specialists pick like Smug or Pepeday and how they'll adapt.

The usual suspects like Daigo and co should be up there since their fundamentals are strong but we'll see about everyone else.

And unfortunately with the cost of travel, a lot of killers don't make it to U.S. or Japanese Tournaments. We (the U.S.) tend to get the Five Gods or more popular players. Though they're all high level.

I think they've made it more accessible even without Universal tech.
No more 1 frame links, FADC as a combo extender has been replaced for many characters with their V-triggers.

I think it'll be easier to get in but still hard to master with the focus on fundamentals.

As for the amount of players, Capcom said they added PC into their contract with Sony for the developing countries where consoles are hard to get or are expensive.
Sony were also smart in having the Capcom pro tour events all use PS4's so a lot of the 360 users would have move to PS4 for that and in anticipation of SFV.

With cross-play and with the console ban lifted in China, I think the number of players might even increase from last gen.
