Is there a way I can get a student loan from a bank or something? How much interest would be on like a $700 average student loan? I Just need some money and I have under 2k in loans and its my second year so I figure it wouldnt hurt to take another since I have pretty low debt compared to other students

yea im pretty sure banks do student loans..dont go thru sallie mae ive heard terrible things

if you only need $700, try getting a temp job for a couple weeks.  even though you don't have a lot of debt yet, you don't want that debt to come back and bite you later.  Most independent student loans charge in the double digit interest rates if you have limited/no credit history.  It's really not worth it when you can work it off in a couple weeks.

I just started paying back my student loans. I've never met anybody thats paid them off completely now that you mention it. I'll tell you one thing though refund checks FTMFL!

i was always told not to go through the bank since they try to make money off you

always the govt

I wouldn't take a loan out from a bank. They're known to have incredibly high interest rates AND sometimes you have to back it back immediately.

Same here. But I just paid off 3 student loans and it felt tremendously stupendous. Never felt better about giving away a thousand dollars. Now I got one big loan left.

I paid back $20K in just under 2 yrs.  It CAN be done if you are willing to be diligent enough to knock it out.  otherwise, i'll stick around until your kids are in college.  if you go that route, your college education will be the worst "investment" you made.
