What's a good amount to take out? Can you take your whole life to pay it back? I'm going into my third year of college, but I've probably got 3 years of school left. I've gotta pay off a $1500 fee to my lawyer and I'm finding it really hard to find a job in this town. I'm also looking to move into an apartment with two roomates where I'd be paying around $300-400 a month....plus I'll need food. Any help would be appreciated.

Dude do yourself a favor and don't talk anything more than the bare minimum. With interest the amount u take out is pretty much double when u begin to pay it back.

Find a job on campus do whatever u have to do. Don't take that much out. *+@* SUCKS to pay back.

my boy is in the process of paying his loan. has to pay like 160 or something like every month for the next 20 years or something along those lines. my cousin graduated and he took out more than 100000. i didnt even want to know how long he has to pay off for

hearing them tell me how long they have to pay for makes me want to own a damn farm

100,000?? Damn I was thinking more along the lines of like $5,000-7,000

100,000?? Damn I was thinking more along the lines of like $5,000-7,000

yeah tell her she has to pay back that 4k plus interest.  Matter of fact call the student loan people and get the rate and then you can give her the total of that car if she pays only minimum payments. this is a big no no.  In other news if things go according to the gameplan i have 13 payments left and I am done. the last payment being x-mas eve.  quite possibly the best present ever!
