my dentist said i need to get them out asap but i didn't want to do it over the summer because i didn't wanna be trapped inside for a week. my originalplan was to wait it out and take care of it over winter break but that won't happen. my left bottom wisdom tooth broke skin today and it's absolutelykilling me. i've been popping ibuprofen to ease the pain but that isn't working too much. my whole left side of my face and ear are throbbing with painwhen i'm not on ibuprofen.

here's the dilemma.. class starts on monday. my mom wants me to wait until thursday afternoon because i don't have class on fridays and i could recoverover the weekend. i'm not sure if i'll be able to wait though.

what should i expect when i get them taken out? i have been dreading this day for years

I had three of my wisdom teeth pulled out last summer. I was able to go out and stuff, but I couldn't eat any real food for about 2 weeks. Everytime Ichewed, it hurt so much.

Just wait for a couple of weeks and the holes inside will be gone and you'll be able to eat again.

That soup diet for two weeks sucked though

I got mine removed about 6 monthes ago because the pain was crazy. I only took like 3 days to recover from pain and swelling but you cant eat solids for like aweek

Also expect to have holes where they pull the teeth out. and every time you eat all kinds of stuff gets in there and you have to rinse your mouth alot it suckbut it is well worth it!
I wouldnt wait though.

It's not that bad, the worst part is def. not being able to eat/chew normally for a little bit. Although, I will say I had a dry socket (I think it'slike an infection if I remember right) and they had to stick this clove !!$% IN the hole itself. Every thing I ate had a horrible taste to it for like 2 weeks.

Best of luck though, if nothing else I took it as an opportunity to build-up my movie collection.

my appointment wasn't for another two months i believe then they call me and tell me it's tomorrowlike df?

I just got mine out a couple days ago...(peep the blog).

Pain isn't too bad, eating only soft/mushy foods has sucked though. They also use this medicine during the operation which leaves a nasty aftertaste.
