But half of that crowd grew up on jeezy and fab

They don't know bout the WU

And most younger rap fans could careless about the golden age of hip hop

nope, just different tastes. people are still stuck on the 80s/90s. its the year 2013, new rappers, new fans, and new tastes have emerged

But that's like the Rolling Stones coming out to a concert with a bunch of new rock acts and dudes just not showing love. 

It doesn't happen in rock.

I agree and disagree. I'm 24 so people my age (20-2 would get a lot more excited about Phoenix, Black Keys, Vampire Weekend than a Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsten, Roger Waters Pink Floyd set.

But on the flip side they wouldn't call them washed up, irrelevant, etc etc. Also in rock old people are accepted more so if you went to the Rolling Stones recent reunion tour it was 80% people over 50. They don't have to pander to the youth unlike Hip Hop where we got 40 year old rappers dressing like High School seniors.

rap is a relevancy game. if they dont have nothing new or making waves most dont care about their past hits espically 20 years ago.

whenever new rappers come out they always say "oh jay, wu tang, outkast, 3 6 mafia, were my inspiration."

and ? I like the wu but don't really know much about them. because i'm still a teen in nyc whenever i go out its all party songs, not wu or whoever

I think the biggest problem with wu-Tang set was once again they're music isn't really party based.... Outside of Cream theirs nothing a dude from 18-24 is really going to gravitate too and rock out with. If that was Nas out there its a different story because he has HITS for days, Hell Even Busta could of did a performance and had the Crowd rockin, Killa etc etc.... Wu just doesn't have those records that are going to make people who aren't to familiar with the songs still bounce wit em.
